Floral Size Guide & FAQ's

Flowers are just like the fruit and veg from the grocery store, they are seasonal, perishable and their prices changes on a daily basis depending on the current market and farmers conditions.

One of our most commonly asked question is "how many flowers will I get for that size?"

I find this question so hard to answer because each flower holds different value and not one of our designs are ever the same. The flower market is everchanging and so will prices as the seasons fluctuate.

Frequently Asked Questions

What's the difference between a bouquet or an arrangement

Floral arrangements are prepared in a box with floral oasis - no vase necessary.

Bouquets are fresh cut blooms arranged into a bunch with exposed stems - recipient does require a vase to store the flowers.

If choosing a bouquet for delivery, we recommend adding a 'Mod Vase' which holds the bunch in water.

Both variations are beautifully wrapped with paper and ribbons.

How long will my flowers last

This all depends on how the flowers are cared for, the time of year and what environment they are kept in.

Bowen is in the tropical North QLD area so naturally flowers are going to last longer in the airconditioned office over a hot kitchen.

Each design includes a care card for the recipient with tips and tricks to getting the most out of their beautiful blooms.

Flowers have different vase lives, for example a Poppy will last around 2 days once fully bloomed but a Carnation or Lily may last over 2 weeks.

We love using lots of variety for this reason.

Where do you get your flowers from

We use a refrigerated transport service to get our flowers from the Brisbane markets to Bowen on a weekly basis. Our market sources flowers from everywhere from Cairns to Melbourne to South America.

How much notice do you need

We are a small team so the more notice the better! Some days we can reach capacity, with only so many hands and so many hours in a day.

We accept same day deliveries if ordered by 12pm that day. We use both in house and a courier service to fulfil deliveries.

Custom orders require a minimum of 2 weeks to allow for freight and logistics of ordering.

Weddings require at least 12 weeks notice.

What happens if I choose delivery but the recipient isn't home at the time

At the time of ordering we ask for 'Authority to leave' this means we can leave your order at the address if the courier deems safe to do so.

If the courier can not leave the flowers or can not safely access the property the order will be returned and stored in the cool room. We will make contact with you for an alternate arrangement and additional delivery fees may apply if you decide to have them re-delivered.

What is a Mod Vase

A Mod Vase keeps your bouquet hydrated and stable during transport and storage with it's unique design. The Mod Vase is a flat-based cardboard container with tapered sides a tough water bag lining the inside.
